Machinal Maintenance Engineer

We are currently recruiting on behalf our client who is the UK’s biggest construction specialist cold roll forming company and part of the largest globally leading steel and technology group - They are recruiting for a MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER to join their team!

ROLE LOCATION: Oldbury

SALARY: £35K - £37.5k Per annum.

SHIFTS:
Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.00pm
Friday 7.30am -12.30pm

ROLE DUTIES:

• Performing reactive maintenance on a variety of mechanical machinery across the site
• Supporting the day-to-day manufacturing process in the most efficient manner, whilst working within a team structure
• Effective recording and monitoring of all engineering/production-based issues
• Troubleshooting problems and suggesting improvements to prevent reoccurrence
• Communicating with Production Managers / Team Leaders on progress of issues
• Completing scheduled maintenance
• Investigating faults with plant and equipment, completing any necessary repairs, and reporting status within the maintenance recording system.

ABOUT YOU:

• Time served Mechanical Engineer with a number of years’ experience in manufacturing
• Minimum City and Guilds Part 1 and 2 in mechanical engineering
• Good fitting skills with the ability to weld and fabricate, along with hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding experience
• Experience of planned maintenance and continuous improvement/lean manufacturing
• Well organised, self-motivated and capable of working to tight deadlines
• Good attention to detail
• Proactive approach to problem solving
• Good timekeeping and attendance
